Muir Woods

Misterpiggy's trip to San Francisco would not be complete without a drive across  the Golden Gate bridge to  visit Muir Woods National Park.  Here, he hiked the trails and marvelled at the tall sequoia trees. Misterpiggy hopes to return to San Francisco soon and spend more time there.  A few days was definitely not enough.

Japanese Gardens and Fisherman's Wharf

Misterpiggy went to visit relatives in Hayward California which is not too far from San Francisco.  While he was there, he stopped in at the Japanese Gardens, where is was noticeably warmer.  In fact he had a marvellous sunny day and he had the tranquil gardens all to himself.  He even saw little turtles that were as small as himself and giant gold fish in the pond.  Afterwards he headed to Fisherman's Wharf and all the excitement of Pier 39.  He stopped to take pictures of the famous sour dough bread factory. Finally he had a craving for chocolate and found himself in Ghiradelli Square.  He bought a huge bag of chocolates to bring back to his friends and family.

Getaway to San Francisco

Here are pictures from Misterpiggy's July trip to San Francisco California .  He only had a few days so he did a whirlwind tour of the tourist spots.  First stop was the Presidio, the quiet enclave that offered great views of the Golden Gate bridge.  Then he wandered around the colourful streets of Chinatown, exploring the wares of many gift shops and sampling the local dimsum pastries.
